The Lakers under their Hall of Fame Head Coach Phil Jackson played well
enough when it counted to pull off a Straight Up win in OverTime to take a
two games to none lead as they head to the Magic for three events.
When G Bryant plays well along with F Odom, the supporting cast just has
to hold their own. G Fisher improved, but C Bynum has shown nothing
in two SU wins by his team in this Series. In a Game Three on the
Road situation with a must-win for the Home team, usually the Refs will
call a fair game as long as the Lakers play good Defense and keep the
score close into the late third period. But the tendency in this
type event is if the Lakers trail by say 10 points after roughly 30
minutes or so, the Refs can become Homers and let the Home Favorite run up
the score. The Lakers are always dangerous as Dogs, and their
Coaching staff still holds the advantage to adjust fastest IMHO.
The Magic under their Head Coach Stan Van Gundy gave themselves every
chance to win Game Two SU on the Road, but failed when they missed a
rim-out on their second to last possession, and when they beat the Lakers
Defense to end the game with a close miss. The Magic can play great
Defense and match up well versus their rival, but still haven't shown the
maturity to run with them when it counts. If anyone can be given an
advantage by the Officials tonight, the Magic must try to get their
opponent into foul trouble early to control the pace of the game.

The Eastern Conference Champion Magic under their Head Coach Stan Van
Gundy played approximately 15 minutes in Game One, then spit the bit.
While much credit should be given to their opponent, one can question the
move of putting G Nelson back into the starting line-up after having been
away with injury for the previous four months. You never take a
jockey off a winning horse, and you never remove a Quarterback after a
team win. The Magic can adjust for this all important Game Two, and
this event can be closer than expected. Positive trends for the

The Magic won the Eastern Conference Championship under their Head Coach

and Cavaliers. They have been a great Road team this season, and the
